The Bungalow was a rather nice cocktail lounge in Chicago's northside. I had a chance to submit a demo and I wanted to paint a picture of how I would play a set there. The mix is pure soulful deep house goodness.

My Religion, My Law, My Lifeblood
A lively mix of deep house flavors with a splash of that ethnic "world music" vibe. The name actually came about when I heard an athlete call his sport "my religion, my law". I just added lifeblood because house is just that.

Soul Food
This mix came about when I played at an all-day rave. Some kid came up claiming how he needed to hear some "soul food". The promoter gave him a slot someone else didn't show up for, and the kid played some jungle.
For me, my "soul food" is deep house, and thus I decided to make a mix named as such.

The mix is as the name suggests, smooth deep house ideal for a cozy time in an elegant lounge. I wish more of these "elegant" places played this stuff.

Another Night In Chicago
This was a demo I made for a few promoters, a girl who got me in with them suggested I try to play more deep house that doesn't contain breakdowns. I did some of that, but still kept my own flavor of it all. Didn't get me any gigs, but I still liked the mix.

I had made short deep house mixes in the past, but this was my first full-length deep house mix. I wanted the sound to emulate the album art of the urban soul of Chicago.
