A look back at the history of D-Jam.com
I've had this website since 2000, and it's always been what I like to see as a testament to new web technologies and my own capabilities as a web designer/developer.
I know this seems a bit egotistical to write an article about the past iterations of this website, but those old sites rolled around endlessly in my head as I built this one. I saw the experience mainly as a "look how far we've come" thinking. So if you're interested, let's take a look at how this site and even web technology has changed since the initial launch in 2000.
A Re-Introduction to Thoughts
Back in 2006, I launched this blog on D-Jam.com. Blogging is nothing new to me as I've been stating my own personal opinions on the internet since I got into web design in 1996. When I wanted to make this website a more personal place for me, this blog served as my own personal journal and editorial column...my thoughts.
With the redesign of the site, I wanted to also redesign and rethink how I did this blog. We all make mistakes in our past, and I've made mine. Even before I started integrating the new blog software into this site, I went though and cleaned out my database of entries that seemed outdated, useless, or even ones that go against the general thinking of this site.
